Quotation Terms and Conditions

1.1. All quotations are based on the information, photographs and motorcycle condition available at the time of assessment.

1.2. A quotation is valid for 14 calendar days from the date of issue unless another validity period is stated on the quotation.

1.5. Any estimated completion date is provisional and may be affected by parts availability, supplier delays, hidden damage, weather-dependent work, outsourced services or changes requested by the customer.

1.6. Unless expressly stated otherwise, quotation prices exclude work or items not specifically listed.

1.7. Throttle Rebels will not charge for additional work beyond an approved quotation without first obtaining the customer's approval, except where urgent action is reasonably required to prevent immediate damage or danger and the customer cannot reasonably be contacted.

2.1. Quotations based only on photographs, videos, messages or customer descriptions are preliminary.

2.2. Final pricing may require physical inspection and, where necessary, partial dismantling of the motorcycle.

2.3. Assessment, diagnostic or dismantling fees may be charged and will be disclosed before the work begins.

2.4. An assessment fee remains payable for the inspection work performed, even when the customer does not proceed with the quotation.

2.5. Where stated in the quotation, an assessment fee may be credited against the approved repair or service invoice.

2.6. Dismantled motorcycles may require labour to reassemble if the customer does not proceed with the recommended work.

3.3. Electronic communications and approvals may form part of the agreement between the customer and Throttle Rebels.

3.4. The person approving the quotation confirms that they have authority to incur the quoted charges.

4.1. A deposit may be required before booking, ordering parts or starting work.

4.3. Deposits are allocated toward approved work, ordered parts, materials and workshop time.

4.5. Any cancellation charge will be reasonable and calculated with reference to work completed, goods ordered, costs incurred and the ability to allocate the reserved workshop time to another customer.

4.6. No motorcycle, keys, parts or customer property will be released until all amounts due have been paid, subject to applicable law.

4.7. Payment is considered received only once cleared in the Throttle Rebels bank account.

4.8. Bank charges, rejected payments and payment-reversal costs may be charged to the customer where legally permissible.

5.1. Parts and materials will be sourced according to the approved quotation and availability.

5.2. Brand names shown on a quotation may be substituted only with the customer's approval, unless the quotation expressly allows an equivalent alternative.

5.3. Delivery estimates provided by suppliers are not guaranteed by Throttle Rebels.

5.5. Special-order, imported, custom-made or colour-specific parts may not be returnable unless defective or returnable under applicable consumer law.

5.6. Removed parts will be disposed of unless the customer requests their return before the work begins.

5.7. Parts replaced under warranty may need to be retained or returned to the supplier or manufacturer.

6.1. Customer-supplied parts are accepted subject to inspection.

6.4. Throttle Rebels provides a workmanship commitment for its installation service but does not provide a product warranty for customer-supplied parts.

6.5. Product defects must be taken up with the seller or manufacturer from whom the customer obtained the part, without limiting any rights the customer may have under applicable law.

6.6. Throttle Rebels may refuse to install a component considered unsafe, unsuitable, unlawful or likely to damage the motorcycle.

7.1. Motorcycles may contain damage or wear that is not visible during the initial assessment.

7.4. Declining additional work may prevent Throttle Rebels from completing the original scope safely or properly.

7.5. The customer remains liable for authorised assessment, dismantling and work already completed.

8.1. Throttle Rebels will perform approved services with reasonable care, skill and quality.

8.2. Service work is limited to the items listed in the quotation or job card.

8.3. A routine service does not constitute a guarantee that every component of the motorcycle is fault-free.

8.4. Safety observations identified during servicing will be communicated to the customer where reasonably possible.

8.5. If the customer declines recommended safety-related repairs, this will be recorded on the invoice or job card.

8.6. Throttle Rebels may refuse to release a motorcycle for riding where it reasonably considers the motorcycle to be unsafe. The customer may be required to arrange trailer or collection transport, subject to applicable law.

8.7. Repairs involving intermittent electrical or mechanical faults may require additional diagnostic time.

9.1. Custom bodywork involves manual processes and may not reproduce mass-manufactured factory tolerances exactly.

9.3. Colour matching may be affected by the age, fading, condition and previous repair history of existing paintwork.

9.4. Exact colour matching cannot always be guaranteed where only part of a motorcycle is refinished.

9.5. The final appearance may differ slightly from digital mock-ups, reference images or screen-displayed colours.

9.6. Customer approval of a design concept, colour or graphic direction authorises Throttle Rebels to proceed on that basis.

9.7. Changes requested after approval may result in additional design, material and labour charges.

10.1. Performance results vary according to motorcycle condition, engine setup, supporting modifications, tuning and environmental conditions.

10.2. Throttle Rebels will not guarantee specific power, torque, fuel-consumption or speed improvements unless expressly supported by professional testing and stated in writing.

10.3. Exhausts, lighting, tail tidies, number-plate arrangements and other modifications may be subject to road traffic, noise, emissions or other legal requirements.

10.4. The customer is responsible for confirming that requested modifications are suitable for their intended use and comply with applicable laws.

10.5. Where tuning or specialist calibration is required, it may be quoted as an additional outsourced service.

11.2. Existing defects may become more visible after cleaning or polishing.

11.3. Aggressive correction will not be performed where it may compromise paint or surface integrity without customer approval.

11.4. Protective products reduce exposure but do not make surfaces immune to damage.

12.1. Collection and delivery are optional services subject to availability, location and the motorcycle's condition.

12.2. Transport charges are quoted separately unless included in the quotation.

12.4. Additional charges may apply where the motorcycle's actual condition differs materially from the information supplied.

12.6. The customer must provide safe and reasonable access for the collection vehicle.

12.7. Failed collections caused by incorrect information, inaccessible premises, unavailable keys or customer absence may be charged.

12.8. Delivery will be scheduled only after completion of the work and settlement of all amounts due.

13.1. Completion dates are estimates unless expressly guaranteed in writing.

13.3. Throttle Rebels will communicate material delays as soon as reasonably possible.

13.4. Delay alone does not entitle the customer to free services or unauthorised deductions from the invoice.

14.1. Changes to the approved scope must be requested and approved in writing.

14.3. Verbal instructions may be confirmed electronically before work proceeds.

14.4. Throttle Rebels may require additional payment before proceeding with a variation.

15.1. Completed work will be checked against the approved job scope before handover.

15.2. The customer must inspect the motorcycle as soon as reasonably possible after collection or delivery.

15.3. Any concern relating to completed work should be reported promptly, together with photographs and a description where practical.

15.4. The customer must provide Throttle Rebels with a reasonable opportunity to inspect and, where appropriate, remedy a valid workmanship concern.

15.5. The customer should not arrange third-party repairs to the same work before allowing Throttle Rebels an opportunity to inspect it, except in an emergency or where reasonably necessary for safety.

16.1. Throttle Rebels will perform services in a manner and quality that customers are generally entitled to expect.

16.2. Goods installed or supplied as part of a service must meet applicable legal quality standards.

16.3. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits rights that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Consumer Protection Act or other applicable legislation.

16.4. Goods supplied to consumers are subject to applicable statutory warranties, including the implied six-month warranty where the Consumer Protection Act applies.

16.6. Any additional written manufacturer or supplier warranty will apply according to its terms.

17.1. Existing damage may be documented during check-in.

17.2. The customer must remove valuables and personal property before handing over the motorcycle.

17.3. Throttle Rebels is not responsible for undocumented loose items left with the motorcycle unless they are specifically recorded during intake.

17.4. Keys, remotes, documents and accessories received will be recorded where appropriate.

18.1. The customer will be notified when the motorcycle is ready for collection.

18.2. The motorcycle should be collected within five business days after notification unless another arrangement is agreed.

18.3. A reasonable daily storage charge may apply after the collection period stated above.

18.4. Storage charges do not transfer ownership of the motorcycle to Throttle Rebels.

18.5. Throttle Rebels will take reasonable steps to contact the customer regarding an uncollected motorcycle.

18.6. Any further action regarding abandoned or uncollected property will be taken only in accordance with applicable law.

19.2. Customer-identifying information and registration numbers should not be published without consent or unless appropriately obscured.

19.3. Photographs may be used for marketing only where the customer has consented or where they have been reasonably anonymised.

19.4. Customers may decline marketing use without affecting the service provided.

20.2. Personal information will be processed for legitimate business purposes and handled in accordance with applicable data-protection requirements.

20.3. Customer information will not be sold to unrelated third parties.

20.4. Information may be shared with suppliers, couriers, specialists or service providers only where reasonably necessary to perform the approved work or meet legal obligations.

21.1. Throttle Rebels remains responsible for loss or damage caused by its legally actionable conduct and does not exclude liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

21.3. Any limitation in these terms must be interpreted subject to the Consumer Protection Act and other applicable law.

22.2. Throttle Rebels will investigate the matter and respond within a reasonable period.

22.3. Both parties should first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith discussion.

22.4. If the dispute remains unresolved, either party may use mediation, an applicable consumer-protection process or a court with jurisdiction.

22.5. Nothing in this clause prevents the customer from exercising applicable statutory consumer rights.

23.1. The approved quotation, job card, these terms and any approved variations form the agreement between the parties.

23.2. If one provision is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply.

23.3. Failure to enforce a provision immediately does not permanently waive that provision.

23.4. South African law applies.

23.5. These terms may be updated periodically, but the version accepted with a quotation will govern that particular job unless the parties agree otherwise.
